Troubleshooting for Heated Cases

CAUTION BEFORE SERVICING!BEFORE SERVICING! ALWAYS DISCONNECT ELECTRICAL POWER AT THE MAIN DISCONNECT WHEN SERVICING OR REPLACING ANY ELECTRICAL COMPONENT.

 

Problem: Cause: Action:

Unit fails to operate.

1.

Main power light on Control #1 is off.


 

2. Controls will not adjust.
1.

Connect case to power supply.Reset circuit breaker. Unit may have two separate power sources. Check both sources.

2. Hold up and down arrow for 5 seconds.
Unit will not heat.
1. Circuit breaker is off.

 
2. Defective heating element.
3. Loose wire or bad connection.
4.

Flashing indicator on control panel is blank or not flashing.

5.

Control has malfunctioned.

1. Check all power supply breakers. Reset circuit breaker.
2. Contact Barker Service Dept.
3.

Repair.

Inadequate Temperature
1. Door is open.
 
2. Temperature is too low.
3. Temperature is too high.

Glass clamp is hot.

Service case overhead fan not working

6. Heating elements are not working.
1. Close rear load doors when not in use.
2. Defective heating element.
3.

Product is not placed in the center of the well or tile. Adjust controls (see recommended settings). Product is stacked too high (within 6” of the overhead heating element)

4.

Overhead heating is set too high (see recommended settings).
